POSITION OVERVIEW PMG is seeking a strategic, creative, and analytically minded Senior Marketing + Brand Strategist to join our growing team. This role leads the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies designed to strengthen brand positioning, expand audience reach, and drive measurable growth for PMG clients. The Senior Marketing + Brand Strategist translates business objectives into high-impact marketing initiatives across digital, content, brand, and campaign platforms. The role works closely with clients, PMG leadership, and cross-functional teams to develop marketing strategies that align brand messaging, audience targeting, and campaign execution into cohesive programs that deliver real results. In addition to campaign leadership, the Senior Marketing + Brand Strategist contributes to broader brand strategy initiatives including messaging frameworks, brand positioning, campaign architecture, and marketing roadmaps. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in marketing strategy, brand development, and integrated campaign planning, paired with strong analytical instincts and a client advisory mindset.
This role is ideal for a marketing strategist who enjoys balancing big-picture brand thinking with practical campaign execution and who thrives in a fast-paced agency environment. The Senior Marketing + Brand Strategist embodies PMG’s “Consider It Done” mentality by bringing strategic clarity, proactive thinking, and accountability to every client engagement.
QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, public relations, or related field
10+ years of experience in marketing strategy, brand strategy, digital marketing, or integrated campaign leadership
Demonstrated experience developing and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns
Strong understanding of brand positioning, messaging development, and audience targeting
Experience building marketing strategies that integrate digital, content, paid media, and PR visibility
Proficiency with digital marketing platforms including social media, email marketing, content management systems, and analytics tools
Strong understanding of marketing analytics and performance measurement
Experience working with marketing automation and CRM tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar platforms
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong client-facing experience with the ability to present strategy and recommendations with executive presence
Experience managing multiple clients, campaigns, and deliverables simultaneously
Strong project management skills with attention to timelines, scope, and outcomes
Familiarity with tools like Google Workspace, project management systems (e.g., Monday.com), and marketing analytics platforms
AI tool integration and confidence leveraging AI to improve campaign performance, content ideation, and marketing efficiency
Self-motivated, adaptable, and solutions-oriented
Ability to travel to client sites, events, or strategy sessions across Indiana as needed
Agency, consulting, or strategic communications experience is strongly preferred
ROLES + RESPONSIBILITIES BRAND STRATEGY + POSITIONING Lead the development of brand strategies that define and strengthen client market positioning
Develop brand messaging frameworks that clarify voice, narrative, and differentiation
Guide clients through brand discovery, positioning exercises, and strategic messaging development
Ensure brand consistency across campaigns, content, and marketing channels
Collaborate with PMG leadership to align brand strategy with communications and public relations initiatives
Identify opportunities to strengthen brand visibility through integrated storytelling and strategic marketing initiatives
Provide proactive strategic counsel on brand, marketing, and audience engagement trends
MARKETING STRATEGY + CAMPAIGN DEVELOPMENT Develop and oversee integrated marketing strategies aligned with client growth and visibility goals
Plan and execute multi-channel campaigns across digital, content, social, and paid media platforms
Create marketing roadmaps that guide quarterly and annual campaign priorities
Collaborate with PMG’s PR, digital, and video teams to integrate marketing campaigns with broader communications strategies
Identify opportunities for campaign amplification through storytelling, media visibility, and thought leadership
Ensure campaigns are strategically aligned with client business objectives and measurable outcomes
Guide the development of content marketing strategies across digital and social platforms
Support creation of editorial calendars, campaign messaging, and thought leadership initiatives
Collaborate with PMG’s video storytelling team to integrate visual storytelling into marketing campaigns
Ensure content strategies align with brand voice, audience targeting, and campaign goals
Optimize marketing content for digital distribution across LinkedIn, Instagram, email newsletters, blogs, and websites
CLIENT ENGAGEMENT + ACCOUNT LEADERSHIP Serve as a strategic advisor for assigned client accounts, providing high-level marketing and brand counsel
Present marketing strategies, campaign concepts, and brand recommendations to clients
Anticipate client needs and proactively identify opportunities to strengthen marketing impact
Participate in virtual and in-person meetings with executive presence and strategic insight
Collaborate with PMG’s leadership and vertical directors to ensure alignment with client goals
Support integrated campaign execution across marketing, PR, digital, and storytelling teams
TOOLS + PLATFORMS Proficiency with marketing and communications tools including:
Digital marketing platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and emerging social media channels
Email marketing and automation platforms such as HubSpot, Mailchimp, or similar tools
Marketing analytics tools including Google Analytics and platform performance dashboards
Google Workspace
Project management tools such as Monday.com
Familiarity with SEO tools, marketing dashboards, and audience analytics platforms
Experience integrating marketing strategies across digital, PR, content, and storytelling platforms
Familiarity with AI-powered tools such as ChatGPT, Jasper, or similar technologies for content development, campaign ideation, and workflow efficiency
