Public Affairs Specialist – Community Outreach We are looking for a dynamic Public Affairs Specialist to establish and strengthen relationships with regional partners, including Native Nations, community‐based organizations, educational partners, and local governments. Responsibilities Establish and strengthen relationships with regional partners (Native Nations, CBOs, educational partners). Develop subject‑matter expertise in career education (K‑12, young adult, community colleges, universities) and expand relationships with community‑based organizations and local governments, including EDDs, member agencies, cities, and veterans’ organizations. Organize and hold community workshops, resume/interview skills webinars, and coordinate tours with internal partners. Participate in local job fairs and cultural events to increase industry awareness. Prepare and deliver presentations to educational, community, and civic groups; assist in coordinating outreach programs. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus four years of relevant experience, including two years at the Public Affairs Representative I level; or a Master’s degree in a related field plus two years of relevant experience, including two years at the Public Affairs Representative I level. Experience in public speaking, presentation skills, excellent communication and writing skills. Knowledge of MS Office, public/community outreach experience, public speaking, outreach events. Personable, team player, flexible, multitasking, handles pressure well, detail‑oriented, organized, strong written and verbal communication skills. Valid California driver’s license.
