From delivering safe drinking water and treating wastewater responsibly to developing sustainable water supplies and protecting lives and property through flood control, your work will directly support public health, environmental sustainability, and infrastructure resilience. Success in today’s market requires strong positioning, compelling storytelling, and disciplined proposal leadership. As a Regional Marketing leader at HDR, you will oversee proposal teams, guide complex pursuits, and strengthen our regional competitiveness while mentoring the next generation of marketing professionals.
Lead & Develop High‑Performing Teams
Build, mentor, and lead a team of marketing professionals in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment
Align marketing resources with regional priorities and workload demands
Partner with leadership to attract and retain top talent across technical, business development, and marketing roles
Drive Strategy & Growth
Stay ahead of market trends, competitive dynamics, and client drivers
Contribute to and help execute annual and long‑range strategic growth plans
Advance priority growth initiatives and strategic investments
Strengthen Client Relationships & Market Position
Develop and implement client account strategies to expand market share and deepen relationships
Cultivate strong teaming partnerships to enhance competitiveness
Position HDR early with priority clients and opportunities
Lead Winning Pursuits
Guide teams through disciplined go/no‑go decisions and capture planning
Serve as Proposal Manager for key pursuits, leading strategy, messaging, and execution
Coach teams to deliver compelling proposals and confident interview presentations
Lead post‑pursuit debriefs to strengthen future competitiveness
Elevate Brand & Visibility
Direct integrated marketing campaigns that elevate HDR’s thought leadership
Expand visibility through industry associations, conferences, and speaking engagements
Represent HDR in professional settings to strengthen market presence
Oversee Operations & Performance
Manage regional marketing budgets and performance metrics
Leverage CRM and reporting systems to inform strategy and decision‑making
Plan and execute large internal meetings and strategic events
Required Qualifications
A minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience
Demonstrated "self‑starter" with a history of completing projects with limited oversight
Deep knowledge of the A/E/C industry's standard approach to procurement of professional services
Demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire others
Experience in sales and developing effective win strategies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including InDesign
Ability and desire to travel and engage with others in‑person
Demonstrated experience in winning high‑value contracts in the A/E/C industry
Demonstrated experience in writing compelling content based on information from technical staff
