We are recruiting on behalf of a high-growth marketing and analytics firm that partners with leading retail and consumer brands to drive measurable marketing performance and revenue growth.

They are currently seeking a Director, Retail Media to help lead strategy across key client accounts and support the continued growth of the firm’s retail media practice.
Role Overview
This is a senior, client-facing leadership role responsible for developing and guiding retail media strategies for major consumer and retail brands. The Director will partner closely with clients and internal teams to shape investment strategy, translate performance insights into actionable recommendations, and drive measurable business growth.
This role will also contribute to the continued development of the organization’s retail media practice, helping establish best practices, mentor team members, and identify new opportunities across the evolving retail media landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Lead retail media strategy and planning for priority client accounts
Develop long-term retail media roadmaps and investment frameworks
Serve as a senior strategic advisor to clients, building and maintaining executive-level relationships
Translate performance data and insights into strategic recommendations and growth opportunities
Partner with performance media teams to ensure alignment between strategy and execution
Collaborate with analytics, performance media, and client services teams to support full-funnel marketing strategies
Identify opportunities to expand client investment across Retail Media Networks
Help evolve and scale the organization’s retail media practice , including frameworks, best practices, and go-to-market messaging
Identify emerging retail media platforms and technology opportunities
Build and strengthen relationships with retail media partners such as Amazon and other RMNs
Contribute to new business development , including RFP responses and client pitches
Provide thought leadership on retail media trends, strategy, and measurement
Mentor and support the development of retail media specialists on the team
Required Experience
9+ years of experience in digital media, retail media, commerce media, or eCommerce marketing
Strong expertise with Amazon Advertising, including Amazon DSP
Experience working with Retail Media Networks such as Roundel, Walmart Connect, Instacart, Criteo, or similar platforms
Experience leading retail media strategy and investment planning for consumer or retail brands
Background working within a media agency, retail media platform, or advertising technology environment
Experience managing client relationships and presenting to senior stakeholders
People management or team leadership experience
Strong understanding of full-funnel paid media including search, social, programmatic, display, and video
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate performance data into business insights
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $125,000 – $165,000 depending on experience and location

This role operates in a hybrid model , with employees expected to work from either the New York City or Dallas office approximately five days per month , with occasional travel for client meetings.
