Compensation: Part-Time Salary + Growth Commission (Performance-Based)
Seniors Helping Seniors® Pee Dee provides compassionate, relationship-based in-home care by pairing seniors who need help with caring, dependable caregivers—often seniors themselves. We support older adults and families throughout the Pee Dee region (Darlington, Florence, Marlboro, Chesterfield and Kershaw counties) with companionship, personal care support, transportation, and help around the home.
Position Summary The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for increasing awareness of our services and generating new client referrals through community outreach and relationship-building. This is a part-time position with a base salary plus growth commission , ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with people, representing a mission-driven organization, and building referral partnerships.
Key Responsibilities Community Outreach & Relationship Development
Build and maintain strong relationships with referral partners, including:
Skilled nursing and rehab facilities
Hospitals and discharge planners
Assisted living communities
Senior centers and community organizations
Physicians’ offices and related healthcare providers
Conduct in-person visits, follow-ups, and check-ins with referral sources
Attend community events, networking meetings, and outreach opportunities
Lead Generation & Growth
Generate new client inquiries and referrals through strategic outreach
Support growth by increasing weekly service hours and client starts
Track outreach activity and referral outcomes consistently
Communicate professionally with families, community partners, and internal team members
Coordinate with scheduling/care team to ensure smooth start of care
Represent Seniors Helping Seniors® Pee Dee with integrity, warmth, and professionalism
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate records of outreach, contacts, and results
Provide weekly updates on referral activity, pipeline, and growth progress
Marketing & Brand Awareness
Implement local marketing campaigns (digital, print, and grassroots) aligned with company branding.
Collaborate with leadership on social media strategies, email campaigns, and community outreach efforts.
Track marketing efforts and measure ROI to continuously improve strategies.
Client & Caregiver Engagement
Support inquiries from potential clients and families with professionalism and empathy.
Collaborate with care coordination and recruitment teams to ensure seamless onboarding and service delivery.
Qualifications
Required
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally
Comfortable speaking with healthcare professionals and community leaders
Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently
Professional appearance and positive attitude
Preferred
Experience in home care, healthcare marketing, sales, outreach, or community relations
Existing relationships with local referral sources (Service area)
CRM experience or comfort using basic tracking tools (Excel, Google Sheets, etc.)
Mix of field outreach (in-person visits) and remote/admin time
Local travel throughout the Service area
Part-time salary (base pay)
Growth commission based on performance (new client starts / service hour growth)
Training, marketing materials, and leadership support provided
