Writer
W2 Contract through EOY, Possible Extension/Conversion
Hybrid in Malvern, PA, Scottsdale, AZ, or Charlotte, NC
Overview
The team is hiring two writers who will support retirement and investment plan participant communications. These roles focus on creating and maintaining clear, action‑oriented content that helps individuals understand their retirement and investment plans and take appropriate next steps. The work involves a mix of original writing and structured, templated updates. Writers must be comfortable shifting between creative development and standardized communication tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Writers will create and maintain short‑form participant communications across multiple channels, including:
Letters to plan participants
Website and microsite content
Consumer Educational materials
Consumer calls to action
Messaging updates and content maintenance
Some assignments will require developing messaging from scratch; others will involve transforming business partner inputs into clear, participant‑friendly communications.
Work Environment & Volume
This team manages a high volume of content production , and writers should expect to:
Complete multiple rounds of revisions as content moves through internal review
Ideal Candidate Profile
Strong candidates will demonstrate:
Experience writing for financial services, banking, or retirement‑related topics
Ability to create clear, persuasive short‑form messaging
Strong collaboration and stakeholder‑management skills
Ability to interpret and clarify ambiguous briefs
Preferred (nice to have):
Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., Copilot)
Experience with Workfront or similar project‑management platforms
Retirement, Banking, Financial Services, or Investment industry knowledge
ASPPA certification
Writers must translate financial concepts into clear, accessible language for a general audience, with a strong focus on accuracy, clarity, and user action.
