Commercial and Industrial HVAC Account Executive About the opportunity An established organisation operating within the commercial and industrial HVAC market is looking to add an experienced Account Executive to its growing sales team. The company operates as a manufacturer’s representative, partnering with leading HVAC equipment manufacturers and supporting customers with equipment selection, application guidance and project delivery across a wide range of commercial and industrial projects. The team works closely with consulting engineers, mechanical contractors, building owners and developers to deliver HVAC equipment solutions across projects including healthcare facilities, office buildings, industrial sites, institutional campuses and large commercial developments. This role offers the opportunity to work on technically complex projects while building strong relationships across the HVAC industry. Role overview The Account Executive will be responsible for driving the sale of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment while developing long‑term relationships with consulting engineers, contractors and key project stakeholders. The role involves identifying project opportunities, supporting equipment selection during the design phase and managing opportunities through to project award. Key responsibilities Develop and maintain relationships with consulting engineers, mechanical contractors, building owners and developers Identify and pursue project opportunities within the commercial and industrial HVAC market Support engineers and contractors with HVAC equipment selection and application guidance Prepare proposals, quotations and pricing for project opportunities Present equipment solutions and influence specifications during the project design stage Manage multiple projects simultaneously from early design through to project award Work closely with manufacturers and internal technical teams to ensure the correct equipment solutions are delivered Negotiate pricing and commercial terms to secure new business Maintain clear communication with internal teams regarding project progress and pipeline activity Continue building relationships across the regional HVAC market Candidate profile 5+ years experience in commercial or industrial HVAC equipment sales or a related technical sales environment Experience working with consulting engineers, mechanical contractors and project stakeholders Strong understanding of commercial HVAC equipment and system applications Ability to manage multiple projects and customer relationships simultaneously Strong communication and relationship building skills Comfortable presenting technical and commercial solutions to customers Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or a related field preferred but not essential Key attributes Strategic skills Ability to understand project requirements and recommend appropriate HVAC solutions Comfortable working in fast moving environments and adapting to changing project requirements Strong organisation and time management skills Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously Relationship skills Ability to build long term relationships with engineers, contractors and customers Strong verbal and written communication skills Negotiation and presentation skills Ability to present solutions clearly and influence project stakeholders Ability to negotiate project terms and pricing effectively Work environment The role includes a combination of office based work and regular engagement with customers, engineers and contractors in the field. Travel within the territory will be required to support meetings, project development and relationship building.
