Flooring & Design Sales Consultant

Overview O2 Employment Services is partnering with a well-established local flooring company in Redding, CA to find their next Flooring & Design Sales Consultant. This is an excellent opportunity for a personable, service-driven professional with a strong eye for design and décor. Our client values both technical expertise in flooring and the ability to guide customers through design decisions that transform their space. The Position We are seeking a sales professional who can combine flooring product knowledge with decorator sensibilities. The ideal candidate will be able to connect with customers, understand their style and needs, and recommend flooring solutions that meet both functional and aesthetic goals. Experience in interior design, décor, or home improvement sales is highly desirable. $18.00–$25.00/hour during the first 2–3 months (hourly option available while building your book of business) Commission-based structure with current sales professionals earning $80–$100k/year Voluntary dental, vision, medical, and life insurance Qualifications Minimum 2 years of flooring sales experience in a retail or wholesale environment Strong knowledge of hardwood, carpet, tile, laminate, vinyl, and other flooring materials Eye for design, décor, and color coordination; ability to guide customers in style selections Excellent communication and negotiation skills Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as needed Experience measuring spaces and providing accurate flooring estimates is a plus Responsibilities Assist customers in selecting flooring that fits their style, needs, and budget Provide expert guidance on materials, installation processes, and maintenance Maintain an organized, visually appealing showroom Meet and exceed sales goals to earn commissions and bonuses Stay up-to-date on industry trends, products, and design innovations Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
