The company recently expanded into Baytown, Texas to support growing operations near the Port of Houston and strengthen its presence in the Gulf Coast import market.
About the Role
The CES Sales & Brokerage Specialist is responsible for growing ECW’s customer base by selling customs examination services and related logistics solutions to importers, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and carriers. This role combines business development with supply chain expertise to deliver tailored logistics solutions that create value for customers while driving revenue growth at the Baytown CES facility.
Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
Generate new business by prospecting, qualifying, and securing CES designations within the Baytown and greater Houston import market.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customs brokers, freight forwarders, shipping companies, and importers.
Present and promote ECW’s CES services and related logistics solutions to potential and existing customers.
Brokerage & Operations Coordination
Serve as a key point of contact between customers and internal operations teams, including CES, drayage, warehousing, and transportation.
Coordinate communication between brokers, carriers, and operations teams to ensure efficient service execution.
Assist customers with rate requests, service inquiries, and logistics planning.
Customer Consulting & Support
Understand customer supply chain needs and recommend appropriate CES and logistics solutions.
Maintain proactive communication and follow‑up to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Support issue resolution, after‑sales service, and customer retention initiatives.
Monitor trends in import/export logistics, customs examinations, and third‑party logistics services within the Gulf Coast region.
Provide regular sales activity updates, pipeline reports, and market insights to sales leadership.
Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote ECW services.
Qualifications
Previous experience in logistics sales, freight brokerage sales, or customs examination services.
Familiarity with the Houston Customs Broker community and Port of Houston import operations.
Required Skills
