Job Description Operates telecommunications or radio equipment to provide operator or dispatch services. This class consists of entry- and journey-level positions which may involve lead worker functions. Serves as a PBX or Centrex attendant, trains attendants, and serves as shift supervisor preparing work schedules. Operates radio or teletype equipment, receives and transmits routine and emergency radio, telephone and teletype traffic, dispatches law enforcement, public safety or other personnel and equipment in response to service requirements.
