Registered Communications Distribution Designer

Overview: Seeking an experienced ICT infrastructure professional with a valid RCDD certification from BICSI to lead the design, implementation, and governance of structured cabling and communications systems. Key Responsibilities: Design and oversee structured cabling systems (copper & fiber) for enterprise environments Develop ICT infrastructure for data centers, campus networks, and smart buildings Ensure compliance with industry standards (ANSI/TIA, ISO/IEC, BICSI best practices) Produce and review design drawings, specifications, and BoQs Coordinate with stakeholders (IT, facilities, vendors, construction teams) Support project planning, cost estimation, and implementation oversight Troubleshoot and optimize network infrastructure performance Required Qualifications: Active RCDD certification (BICSI) Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience) 5–10+ years of experience in ICT / telecom infrastructure design Strong knowledge of structured cabling, fiber optics, and network design Experience with data center standards (TIA-942, Uptime Institute) preferred Preferred Skills: Experience with large-scale enterprise or government projects Familiarity with wireless, AV, and security systems integration Proficiency in design tools (AutoCAD, Revit, Visio) Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills Certifications (Preferred): RCDD (required) Additional BICSI or network certifications (e.g., CCNA/CCNP) are a plus #J-18808-Ljbffr
