Primary duties of a Communications Officer Monitor communication services including, but not limited to, telephone, radio, computer, visual and audible alarm, and walk in request for service and/or information. Dispatch appropriate personnel and services as needed for service and emergency calls. Complete an initial record of information regarding calls to service and continually update the Police Department database with all monitored activity. Monitor and record activities of on duty personnel and services. Provide message and information as to communications for off duty personnel. Employ the uses of the L.E.A.D.S. inquiry systems and provide information provided therein as needed. MUST submit employment applications to be considered.
