Job Title: Communications Coordinator Reports to: Creative Manager
Department: Communications
Purpose: Responsible for advancing Messenger International’s vision by executing creative and editorial work, providing marketing and social media support, and handling administrative and logistical details that help move creative projects from direction to completion.
Primary Outcomes: Creative and communications work is executed accurately, on time, and in alignment with established direction and brand standards
Day-to-day creative, social, and event-related details are tracked and completed, reducing execution burden on the Creative Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities: Write, edit, and format copy for scripts, social posts, webpages, blogs, and print materials
Adapt content for use across web, email, social, and print platforms
Organize and format statistics, source material, and content inputs for creative use
Prepare first-pass drafts and revisions based on provided direction and feedback
Provide copy and execution support for social media content and scheduling
Assist with content capture during events or in-office activities as needed
Support marketing and communications initiatives through content preparation and coordination
Collaborate with creative, marketing, and social team members to meet deadlines
Create basic layouts, wireframes, or draft assets to support creative execution
Assist with event-related creative needs, including decor and aesthetic coordination
Support vendor coordination for creative or event-related elements as directed
Track tasks, details, and follow-ups related to communications and creative work
Handle routine administrative and logistical tasks that support team operations
Identify and address execution gaps by monitoring assigned work, escalating issues when needed
Other related duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience
Prior experience supporting creative, communications, or marketing teams strongly preferred
Demonstrated experience with mission-based writing or marketing
Experience in non-profit creative, communications, or marketing preferred
General Qualifications: Strong writing, editing, and content formatting skills
Ability to adapt content for multiple platforms and audiences
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to follow creative direction and execute independently within defined parameters
Comfortable juggling multiple tasks in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Basic familiarity with social media platforms and creative tools

Work Location: Nashville, Tennessee area. Must be able to present evidence of identity and legal right to work in the United States.
Job Type/Schedule: Full-time, 40-hour work week with the potential for occasional overtime. This is a non-exempt position and is subject to overtime pay in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
Pay: This role has a salary range of $23.00 - $28.00 / hour , depending on qualifications and experience.
