
Business Development Representative

Job Description:
The Business Development Representative is responsible for driving new client acquisition for our client by serving as a trusted advisor to growth-minded small business owners. This role requires a consultative sales professional who can uncover financial and operational pain points, align the appropriate outsourced accounting solutions (without overselling), and confidently guide opportunities through a structured sales process—from discovery to proposal to close.
The ideal candidate will combine strong hunting discipline with business acumen, building a sustainable pipeline through prospecting, referrals, and community engagement while earning the trust of owner-level decision makers.
Responsibilities:
Conduct consultative discovery meetings with small business owners to uncover pain points and business priorities
Own the full sales process: Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting, discovery, proposal, close
Diagnose needs and recommend the right bundle of services (bookkeeping, accounting, tax planning/reporting, payroll/back office support) based on fit
Maintain clean CRM discipline and forecasting to support quarterly goals
Execute consistent prospecting cadence: call blocks, outreach sequences, follow-ups, and in-market drop-ins
Projected Year One Earnings: $120k - $150k
Projected Year Two Earnings: $~$150K - $200k+
Long Term Upside: Demonstrated high performers have achieved $225k - $300k in total annual earnings as recurring revenue builds and production increases
