We are looking for a culturally fluent, performance-minded UGC Copywriter who understands how to turn scrolls into sales. The UGC Copywriter specializes in writing short-form, conversion-driven scripts that feel organic, relatable, and native to platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels. Unlike traditional advertising copy, this role focuses on: Authentic, creator-style storytelling Hook-first scripting Direct-response performance frameworks You will collaborate with strategists, media buyers, designers, and creators to produce performance-optimized video scripts that drive measurable results. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Scriptwriting & Concept Development Write short, punchy, scroll-stopping scripts (15-60 seconds) for TikTok, Reels, and paid social placements. Develop multiple hook variations (3-5 per concept) optimized for first-3-second attention capture. Create UGC-style ad frameworks including: Before/After Product Demo/Walkthrough “POV” & Trend-Based Concepts Translate product benefits into relatable, conversational storytelling. Hook & Performance Optimization Craft compelling CTAs aligned with direct-response goals. Iterate scripts based on performance data and testing insights. Contribute to creative testing roadmaps (angles, hooks, audience pain points). Write variations quickly to support scale and creative refresh cycles. Develop detailed UGC briefs for creators, including: Shot lists Partner with UGC coordinators and editors to ensure scripts translate effectively to final video. Provide feedback on creator submissions to maintain performance standards. Platform‑Native Trend Fluency Stay on top of trending sounds, formats, memes, and storytelling styles. Adapt scripts to feel native to: Meta (Facebook/Instagram) TikTok Reddit Emerging short-form placements Understand platform differences in pacing, captions, framing, and engagement behavior. Client‑Facing Communication Present concepts clearly and confidently on internal and client calls. Explain creative strategy, hooks, and performance rationale. Communicate learnings from creative testing in a structured way. REQUIREMENTS 1-2 years experience in social content execution or social copywriting (internships count!) Hands‑on experience with Meta and/or TikTok ads Strong understanding of short‑form video storytelling Familiarity with direct-response marketing principles Deep awareness of social trends and viral formats Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, iterative environment Ability to receive and apply performance feedback Comfortable speaking on client calls and explaining creative strategy Bonus Qualifications Experience writing for DTC or performance marketing brands Understanding of paid social KPIs (CTR, thumbstop rate, CVR) Experience briefing creators or managing UGC pipelines Familiarity with creative testing frameworks Experience working within an agency environment Compensation is commensurate with experience.
