This is a remote role with approximately 50% travel, supporting a territory that includes southeast Kansas, Missouri, Eastern Oklahoma, and Arkansas

Position Summary
Responsible for driving overall commercial performance of Zinpro products within a defined geographical region and/or animal segment(s). The Account Manager owns strategic customer relationships, drives profitable growth, and partners cross-functionally to deliver differentiated, valued-based solutions aligned with customers and Zinpro business objectives.
Essential Functions
Account Ownership
Own and lead assigned strategic customer accounts, serving as the primary commercial and relationship owner
Develop trusted, multi-level relationships within customer organizations, including decision makers at all levels of the organization
Retain and grow revenue within complex, high-visibility accounts through disciplined accounts planning and execution
Lead pricing strategy, contract discussions and commercial negotiations in alignment with Zinpro guidelines
Strategic Account Planning & Growth
Develop, execute and regularly update annual account plans aligned to customer goals, market dynamics and Zinpro growth priorities.
Identify opportunities for expansion across species, geographic, product lines, or value-added services
Translated customer business needs to clear commercial opportunities, coordinating internal resources to deliver solutions
Cross-Functional Coordination & Resource Development
Serve as the quarterback for Zinpro’s engagement with the customer, ensuring effective coordination between sales, species specialist, marketing, product development and other cross functional departments.
Engage Species Specialist to provide technical expertise, scientific credibility and species-specific solutions aligned to the customer’s objectives.
Ensure clarification of roles, objectives, and follow-up actions for all internal contributors supporting the account
Maintain accurate monthly sales reporting, forecasting and growth analyses for assigned accounts
Identify trends, risks and opportunities and communicate actionable insights into leadership
Manage effective and efficient use of Zinpro assessment including marketing funds, travel expenses and company provided tools
Brand Representation & Industry Engagement
Represent Zinpro at trade shows, association meetings and industry events
Strengthen Zinpro’s brand presence and identifying opportunities for new relationships and strategic partnerships
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or Business, preferably Animal Science.
Minimum of 3 years of feed industry sales and account management experience, and a thorough understanding of the feed and livestock industry in the designated market.
The ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of business.
Preferred:
Master’s degree in Agriculture or MBA preferred.
Account management and ingredient supply business experience preferred
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
The work environment consists of a multiple different environment: standard office, long periods in a motor vehicle, farms, animal producers, manufacturing facilities, and/or at client/customers facilities.
Positions in this class typically require typing, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Schedule Requirements
This position is expected to work within core business hours and requires participation in after-hours and weekend calls, customer/client events & meetings, and industry events.
Travel Requirements
The position requires domestic travel; approximately 50% travel time.
