Job Description
Main Task: Lead and coordinate the assigned assembly team, including task allocation, provision with equipment, leadership, performance management and target monitoring.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assign production personnel to assembly stations.
Motivate, appraise and train team members.
Administer feedback including discipline when necessary
Uphold policy and procedure
Determine conditions impeding work flow on assembly line and discuss and coordinate with responsible personnel on the necessary corrective action with team members and supervisor.
Oversee and coordinate the instruction of new team members.
Realize start-up and shut down of assembly equipment and assess the need for new machinery, equipment and other operating resources.
Observe material stock along assembly line and stations assigned and notify material-handling personnel of impending shortages.
Monitor quality of assembly work, defective parts, tools, equipment and material or other conditions hindering the assembly process and communicate any defects or inconstancies to the shift supervisor.
Other assigned duties per management
Technical school diploma or 2-5 years of professional experience as a team leader in an automotive production
Technical understanding for assembly processes
Leadership experiences and team building competences
Good communication and problem solving skills
