About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President of Marketing to spearhead brand strategy, performance-driven marketing, and team development for its iconic destination brand. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the destination marketing strategy, managing agency and vendor relationships, and leading a talented in-house marketing team. This senior leadership role is pivotal in advancing the brand as a globally competitive destination, with a focus on delivering measurable economic impact. Key responsibilities include leading and executing the brand's marketing and brand strategy across various channels, serving as the brand steward, and ensuring consistency, relevance, and innovation. The role also involves a major website rebuild, digital modernization, and close collaboration with sales, communications, and tourism development teams. The ideal candidate will have 8-10+ years of senior marketing leadership experience, preferably in tourism, destination marketing, hospitality, or a related industry. They should be data-driven, digitally fluent, and comfortable with innovation and AI-enabled tools. Strong emotional intelligence, sound judgment, and resilience in a high-visibility environment are essential. The role requires a collaborative leader with the ability to balance creativity and discipline, and who can mentor and lead a high-performing marketing team. Experience in managing marketing budgets of at least $2M and teams of 4 or more, as well as a proven track record in leading teams and managing agencies, is also a key requirement.
