
Account Director

The Role
Brand New is hiring an Account Director to lead client relationships across a full 360 remit. You'll be the strategic and commercial lead on major accounts, responsible for work that spans creative campaigns, digital and social content, talent partnerships, and experiential activations.
This is a senior leadership role for someone who can hold the big picture while knowing exactly when to get into the details. Our clients include some of the most culturally ambitious brands in spirits, tech, lifestyle, and entertainment, and they expect a partner who moves at the speed of culture.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the senior client lead across multiple integrated accounts, building trusted advisory relationships up to VP level
- Drive the strategic direction of client work, ensuring creative output is grounded in business objectives, audience insight, and cultural relevance
- Lead annual and quarterly planning processes, translating client briefs into clear, actionable scopes of work
- Own account P&Ls: forecasting revenue, managing margins, and identifying organic growth opportunities
- Champion the work internally, ensuring creative, strategy, talent, and production teams are set up to deliver exceptional output
- Oversee the day-to-day account team (Account Managers, Coordinators), mentoring and developing junior talent
- Navigate complex stakeholder environments with multiple client contacts and approval layers
- Proactively bring ideas to clients: new platforms, formats, cultural moments, and talent partnership opportunities
- Contribute to new business efforts including pitches, credentials, and chemistry meetings
What You Bring
- 8-10 years of account management experience in a creative agency environment, with significant exposure to integrated/360 campaigns
- Demonstrated success managing multi-channel accounts spanning brand, digital, social, content, talent, and experiential
- Strong strategic instincts with the ability to connect creative work to measurable business outcomes
- Proven commercial skills: experience owning account financials, growing revenue, and managing profitability
- Excellent presentation and storytelling skills, comfortable in senior client-facing situations
- Ability to work cross-functionally with creative directors, strategists, producers, and talent teams
- Track record of building long-term client partnerships (1+ year tenure on key accounts)
- Adept at managing competing priorities across multiple accounts without sacrificing quality
- Deep interest in culture, music, entertainment, and the evolving media landscape
Nice to Have
- Experience in spirits, beverage, lifestyle, or entertainment verticals
- Familiarity with talent and influencer partnership strategy and execution
- New business pitch experience with a strong win record
