Robert Half is partnering with a fast-growing digital growth agency in Chicago who is seeking a strategic and dynamic Account Director to lead client relationships and drive measurable business impact.


This newly created role is ideal for someone with agency account management experience who thrives in a hands-on, high-impact environment, collaborating with internal teams to deliver results for mid-market brands.


What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the primary client lead for 3–4 mid-market accounts, including senior stakeholders such as CMOs and their right-hand executives.
  • Build and maintain trusted, consultative relationships, acting as a strategic advisor to clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—paid media, lifecycle/CRM/SEO, marketing tech, and creative—to ensure seamless execution of campaigns, websites, apps, and other digital initiatives.
  • Translate client business goals into actionable marketing strategies and ensure delivery meets objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to expand accounts and grow client relationships.
  • Partner with project managers to align resources, workflows, and processes.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, helping grow internal capability.
  • Contribute to financial outcomes by supporting scope development, budget management, and account growth.


What You Bring

  • 8–10+ years of agency account management experience, preferably from a smaller or mid-sized agency.
  • 5+ years of digital and performance marketing experience.
  • Proven experience managing senior client relationships and driving strategic outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of marketing technology, digital channels, and performance-driven campaigns.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Based in Chicago, IL, able to be onsite 2–3 days per week.


he salary range for this position is $140,000 - $160,000. This position includes Benefits available to full-time professionals, include medical, dental, vision, PTO, holidays, 401(k), etc..
