We’re seeking a Certified Shorthand Reporter (CSR) licensed in Texas to join our fast-moving reporter marketplace team in a leadership capacity. This role blends traditional stenographic work with supervisory, training, and quality oversight responsibilities, offering the opportunity to shape standards for a modern, tech-enabled deposition and court reporting experience.
You’ll serve both as an expert reporter and as the go-to authority on Texas court reporting requirements—managing staff, overseeing operations, and ensuring that every transcript meets the highest accuracy and compliance standards.
What You'll Do
- Capture depositions, hearings, and legal proceedings in a certified stenographic capacity, producing accurate, verbatim transcripts that meet Texas court reporting standards.
- Use CAT software and digital audio tools to scope, proofread, and finalize transcripts with a high degree of accuracy and compliance.
- Proactively build and maintain a professional network within Texas-based court reporting organizations, industry chapters, and regional communities.
- Identify and attend key industry conferences and summits to engage top-tier talent, surface market insights, and grow brand visibility in Texas.
- Drive strategic staffing by developing coverage models, overseeing CR recruitment, and ensuring all proceedings are resourced appropriately.
- Partner with leadership to design and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, consistency, and reporting quality across the team.
What you Bring
- Current Texas Certified Shorthand Reporter (CSR) license required.
- Deep knowledge of Texas procedural rules, legal terminology, and transcript formatting standards.
- Significant court reporting experience with a track record of supervisory or leadership responsibility.
- Proficiency with CAT software (e.g., Case CATalyst, Eclipse) and digital audio review tools.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities across live proceedings, remote work, and operational oversight — including travel to in-person depositions across Texas
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with a collaborative, team-first mindset.
