Position Responsibilities

  • Existing Verticals. You'll manage and grow performance across our established market segments — owning revenue targets, deepening key relationships, and identifying expansion opportunities within accounts and channels we already know. This means working closely with your team to optimize what's working and fix what isn't, with a clear eye on retention, growth, and competitive positioning.
  • New and Emerging Markets. You'll lead the identification and pursuit of new verticals and market opportunities, developing the go-to-market thesis, testing assumptions quickly, and building the partnerships and pipeline needed to establish a foothold. This requires comfort with ambiguity and the ability to move from whiteboard to execution without losing momentum.
  • AI-Driven Sales Infrastructure. You'll design, implement, and continuously refine automated sales workflows that allow the team to operate with greater speed, precision, and scale. From AI-assisted prospecting and outreach to pipeline intelligence and reporting, you'll be expected to bring a modern operator's mindset to how the BD function runs — evaluating tools, building processes, and ensuring the team is leveraging technology as a genuine competitive advantage.
  • Team Leadership and Development. You'll manage and grow a BD team, setting clear expectations, developing individual capabilities, and creating a culture of accountability and ambition. You'll spend meaningful time in the field alongside your team — joining key calls, reviewing deals, coaching in real time — while also operating at the strategic and executive level. This is leadership by example, not by memo.

Experience & Skills

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate brings 8–12 years of progressive BD or strategic sales experience, including at least 3 years leading a team.
  • You've closed complex deals, built pipelines from scratch, and managed to revenue targets across multiple verticals.
  • You have hands-on experience building or managing AI-powered or automated sales workflows — not just awareness of the tools, but practical experience deploying them in a commercial context.
  • You're as comfortable in an executive conversation as you are reviewing a junior rep's outreach sequence or digging into pipeline data.
  • Strong financial acumen, sharp communication skills, and a bias toward action are non-negotiable.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • An MBA or equivalent experience is a plus, but your track record will matter far more than your credentials.

Compensation

  • Paid PTO – 3 weeks (120 hours per year)
