Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Fort Collins for an Assistant Property Manager. The Residential Assistant Property Manager supports the Property Manager in overseeing the daily operations of residential properties such as single-family homes, condos, townhomes, or multifamily housing. This position assists with leasing, resident relations, rent collection, administrative tasks, and coordinating maintenance to ensure residents have a positive living experience and the properties operate efficiently. Key Responsibilities
Resident Relations
Serve as a primary point of contact for residents and respond to questions, concerns, and service requests. Assist with resident move-ins, move-outs, and lease renewals. Help resolve resident complaints and maintain positive resident relationships. Leasing & Occupancy
Assist with marketing available apartments and scheduling property tours. Show available units to prospective residents and explain lease terms. Process rental applications, verify information, and prepare lease documentation. Assist with rent collection and posting payments. Monitor delinquent accounts and send late notices as needed. Process invoices and assist with accounts payable/receivable. Maintenance Coordination
Receive and log maintenance requests from residents. Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure timely repairs. Follow up with residents to confirm satisfaction with completed work. Administrative Duties
Maintain accurate resident files and lease records. Prepare notices, letters, and communications. Assist with property inspections and compliance requirements. Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required. Real estate license preferred, but not required. Experience
1–3 years of experience in residential property management, leasing, or customer service preferred. Skills
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills Strong organization and time management Ability to handle resident concerns professionally Knowledge of leasing procedures and fair housing regulations preferred Proficiency with property management software and Microsoft Office Driver's license and vehicle required. Physical Requirements
Ability to walk the property and inspect units Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds Frequent interaction with residents, staff, and vendors
