MASHPEE PUBLIC SCHOOLS Mashpee Middle-High School Director of Career and Technical Education 2026-2027 School Year District Overview The mission of the Mashpee Public Schools is to ensure a student-centered, comprehensive program of rigor, scope, and depth that prepares all students to be college, career, service, and civic ready and teaches respect and acceptance of others. JOB SUMMARY Plan, supervise and administer all areas of career and technical education, grades 7-12, for Mashpee Public Schools. Assess career pathways and lead innovation and the development of courses and programming, expand vocation and career opportunities for middle and high school students, and assist teachers to become increasingly more effective in guiding the educational process. In addition, exercise leadership and serve as a liaison in all areas of STEM and Career and Technical Education, grades K-12. QUALIFICATIONS: Administrative licensure as Supervisor/Director- Non-Core, with prerequisite educator licensure in any of the following areas: Business (5-12); Health/Family and Consumer Sciences (All levels); Science, Mathematics, or Technology/Engineering (5-12) Masters’ Degree from an accredited institution with a broad background in Career and Technical Education and Business Education Five or more years of successful secondary teaching and/or administrative experience in related fields. Experience with grant management. Knowledge of Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Improvement Act preferred. Have a working knowledge of the Multi-tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework REPORTS TO: Mashpee Middle High School Principal TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: MTA Mashpee Unit B Contract 215 working days, 8 hrs per day. 184 Unit A work days must match with the Unit A work days and the remaining 31 days will be scheduled with the principals approval. Within the 31 days includes the management of the MMHS Summer School program. This role is as an evaluator with a 0.6 teaching load. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

: Leadership & Oversight Provide leadership in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of all Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, grades 7–12. Ensure all CTE programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations, policies, and procedures. Supervise, evaluate, and support CTE staff in instructional practices, curriculum development, and professional growth. Conduct regular CTE staff meetings to communicate priorities, review progress, and foster collaboration. Lead and facilitate the Career and Technical Education Advisory Group. Curriculum, Instruction & Student Opportunities Support CTE staff in developing and aligning curriculum, competencies, and assessments for all CTE pathways. Coordinate experiential, field-based, and work-based learning opportunities, including the School-to-Career program and Connecting Activities. Collaborate with CTE staff to identify and offer Industry Recognized Credentials (IRCs) aligned with Career Connection areas. Pursue and maintain articulation agreements and postsecondary partnerships to expand student opportunities. Coordinate with elementary STEM curriculum leaders to ensure student readiness entering grade 7. Update the Program of Studies and course offerings annually to reflect current programs and industry standards. Budget & Grants Management Develop and manage the CTE operating budget, ensuring expenditure control and accurate entry of requisitions in MUNIS. Oversee financial management of the Carl D. Perkins Vocational/Technical Grant and related CTE accounts (e.g., CIWB, School-to-Career). Recommend policies and budgetary adjustments based on regulatory updates and program needs. Community & Agency Partnerships Serve as liaison to the Mashpee community, higher education, and business/industry partners to strengthen CTE pathways. Maintain active partnership with the Cape and Islands Workforce Board (CIWB) to align programs with regional workforce priorities. Consult and collaborate with DESE, CIWB, parents, and other stakeholders to continuously improve programming. Respond promptly and respectfully to parent inquiries related to CTE programming and student needs. Support development of marketing and promotional materials highlighting Mashpee’s CTE programs and student achievements. Represent Mashpee Public Schools on boards and committees related to Career and Technical Education. Professional Growth & District Collaboration Stay current on developments, legislation, and best practices in Career and Technical Education; share relevant updates districtwide. Engage in professional learning and attend appropriate meetings and conferences. Collaborate with district and building leadership to align CTE with the district’s strategic priorities and instructional vision. Attend district leadership and School Committee meetings as required. Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or designee. Evaluation:
