Responsibilities
Assist in the proactive asset management of a portfolio of opportunistic commercial real estate debt and equity investments across various property types including office, hotel, retail, condo, multifamily, student housing, senior living and industrial
Review and analyze business plans, loan documents, lease approvals, construction draws, leasing activity and monthly property operating performance
Interact with Borrowers and operating partners to ensure compliance with loan documents, debt covenants and operating agreements
Supervise third party management companies, leasing agents and investment brokers to maximize the value of equity investments Underwrite and value real estate (all asset classes) by building property level financial models and performing DCF and/or direct capitalization analysis
Assist is preparation of annual business plans and participate in deal presentations to senior management
Perform property level Due Diligence, market studies and hold versus sell recommendations
Stay current on financial markets and competitive trends and use this expertise in the due diligence and evaluation process
Qualifications
Two to four years of experience working in the real estate finance industry
A Bachelor’s degree from a top university with a GPA of at least 3.5
Self-starter with excellent organizational skills and a strong work ethic
Team-player who thrives in a fast-paced work environment
Proven ability to multitask and quickly understand new concepts
Strong quantitative, written and oral communication skills
Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and ARGUS Enterprise
