Responsibilities
To gather and coordinate all necessary financial and medical information for all residents’ admission, discharge or transfer. Interviews residents, families and other agency personnel to obtain relevant information regarding resident’s admission. Prepare and assemble all forms needed for admission packages. Process all admissions forms and obtain necessary signatures. Prepare, review and check daily census. Process all forms upon admission, discharge or transfer. Process room change documentation. Process medical chart face sheet changes. Determine the financial responsible party. Retrieve any additional insurance coverage available not identified by referral source prior to admission. Verify insurance co-pay and inform financial responsible party. Verify primary payer if multiple insurance carriers are noted. Verify, obtain and update proper insurance authorization. Respond to telephone inquiries. Scanning of admission documents and related records.
