Hearst Television is seeking a Senior Campaign Manager to oversee the delivery, optimization, and strategic growth of digital advertising campaigns across multiple channels. This senior-level role provides leadership across campaign operations, partners closely with sales and clients, and drives process improvements that elevate performance and operational excellence. This role reports to the Director, Digital Advertising Operations. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to influence teams and stakeholders across the organization.
This role requires in-office presence. Candidates may be considered for this role at any Hearst Television location.
Key
Responsibilities Strategic Campaign Leadership Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of campaigns across ad servers and DSPs, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with client objectives. Serve as the primary escalation point for complex trafficking, tracking, and performance issues, guiding teams toward effective resolutions. Develop and implement advanced optimization strategies to improve KPIs, maximize delivery, and drive measurable impact for clients. Partner with sales leadership, station leads, and client teams to provide proactive guidance, performance updates, and strategic recommendations. Lead strategic reviews of campaign pipelines and pacing, identifying risks, opportunities, and corrective action plans. Maintain subject-matter expertise across On-Site, Audience Extension, Social, Native, and emerging product solutions. Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Management Mentor and coach a team of Campaign Specialists fostering skill development, operational rigor, and consistent best practices. Help define team workflows, QA processes, and troubleshooting frameworks that improve efficiency and reduce errors. Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Platforms teams to enhance tools, processes, and platform capabilities. Support cross-market training initiatives related to campaign setup, optimization, and performance insights. Reporting, Insights & Communication Oversee the creation of performance reporting with meaningful insights, trend analysis, and actionable plans that support client goals. Present data-backed narratives to executive stakeholders and client teams, demonstrating clear command of performance drivers and recommendations. Identify macro-level trends across markets to inform future proposals, product strategy, and best practices. Partner with Finance and Operations to ensure accurate monthly billing, reconcile discrepancies, and improve operational handoffs. Qualifications 7+ years of experience in digital advertising, campaign management, or AdOps, including leadership or team oversight responsibilities. Advanced analytical and reporting skills with proficiency in dashboards and Excel/Google Sheets. Deep understanding of trafficking workflows, pixels, UTMs, and third-party tracking tools. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and client-facing skills. Demonstrated ability to lead multiple complex initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Proven ability to mentor talent, refine processes, and drive cross-functional alignment. Experience with brand safety, verification, measurement, and attribution platforms. Background working in an agency, publisher, or large media organization. Broader understanding of digital strategy, including SEO/SEM, paid social, content marketing, and audience targeting.
