Salary range: $150,000-175,000

Your Role
As a senior fundraising leader and advocate for Israel, the Director of Development plays a pivotal role in advancing the mission of the American Technion Society.
Lead major gifts fundraising as a senior representative and advocate for Israel on behalf of the American Technion Society
Serve as ATS’s primary presence in Greater New England, engaging high-net-worth donors and key influencers
Drive regional major gifts strategy, pipeline development, and donor stewardship
Plan and execute high-impact cultivation and fundraising events
Partner with lay leadership and report to the Executive Director of Principal Gifts, Eastern Region, to maximize engagement and giving
Primary Duties
Manage a portfolio of approximately 150 donors, including those capable of $25,000 to $5 million gifts
Lead end-to-end major gifts activity: prospecting, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship
Meet the requisite benchmarks and achievement levels for the assigned portfolio to contribute to the overall achievement of the ATS annual and long-term fundraising goals.
Identify new sources of support from individual major gift prospects and renew existing annual gifts as needed at the $25K level.
Identify potential candidates for planned giving cultivation and solicitation, as well as additional major gift prospects.
Work both independently and as a team member to manage relationship building, cultivation, and solicitation within an assigned portfolio of individual major gift donors and prospects with the capacity to make annual and multi-year leadership and major gifts. Assess giving potential, recommend target ask amounts, develop personalized strategies, and secure gifts from each respective prospect.
Partner with senior members of the ATS team on strategy, cultivation, and face-to-face visits with donors.
Partner with volunteer and lay leaders to expand networks and philanthropic impact
Represent ATS and the Technion through high-impact events and donor-facing initiatives
Collaborate with colleagues on annual and long-term fundraising strategies, tracking progress toward goals
Maintain accurate donor records and insights using the ATS database
Travel throughout New England with periodic domestic and Israel-based travel
Qualifications/Skills
A strategic thinker with10+ years in major gifts fundraising, ideally in education, 10+ years of major gifts fundraising experience, preferably in education, technology, or advocacy
Deep passion for Israel and alignment with ATS’s mission
Strong presence in the Los Angeles nonprofit and philanthropic community
Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills
