About The Job
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Brand Strategy Manager to join the Marketing team. This role is a key member of the Brand Strategy team, responsible for turning customer insight and brand positioning into clear, actionable strategies for our banners (Men’s Wearhouse, Jos. A. Bank, Moores, K&G). This role sits at the intersection of consumer insight, brand positioning, and cross-functional activation, brand frameworks translate into marketing, merchandising, store, and digital decisions.
You will partner closely with Marketing, Merchandising, Store Design and Experience, Digital, Membership, and Analytics to define where our brands play, how they grow, and how we show up consistently for our strategic audiences.
What You’ll Do | Key Accountabilities
Brand Strategy & Positioning
Apply segmentation and brand positioning into tangible guidance for cross functional teams, including marketing, merchandising, product design, store and site experience, across all TBI brands Support ongoing development and refinement of the brand positioning and other brand frameworks, ensuring they remain practical, current, and actionable. Develop additional brand architecture and frameworks as needed. Identifying and managing external strategic brand partnerships.
Customer Segmentation & Insight Application
Use our customer segmentation to define banner-specific target audiences, objectives, strategies, jobs to be done, and opportunities. Partner with Consumer Insights and Analytics to synthesize research, data, and VoC into simple, compelling narratives that inform annual plans, briefs, and roadmaps. Champion the use of segmentation across the organization, helping teams understand “who we are building for” and how that should shape their work.
Strategic Planning & Road mapping
Support annual and seasonal brand strategy planning for all brands. Help teams connect long-term positioning with near-term initiatives (campaigns, membership, experience enhancements). Identify and prioritize strategic opportunities and risks, including whitespace, partnership opportunities, and other brand considerations.
Storytelling & Communication
Build clear, persuasive strategy narratives and artifacts (decks, one-pagers, frameworks) for executive, cross-functional, and field audiences. Support socialization and training efforts (e.g., brand strategy share-outs, workshops, roadshows) to help teams internalize and apply brand strategy in their work. Present complex ideas simply and credibly to stakeholders at all levels, from working teams to senior leadership.
What You’ll Bring | Skills & Experience
Strong strategic thinking skills: able to connect customer insight, brand positioning, and business realities into clear recommendations and roadmaps. Excellent storytelling and communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior leaders and cross-functional partners. Development of brand frameworks, templates and annual plans. Applying quantitative and qualitative insights; able to partner with customer insights and analytics teams to define hypotheses, interpret results, and identify implications. Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders, prioritize ruthlessly, and deliver on deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Customer-obsessed and passionate about understanding how people make decisions about what to wear and where to shop. Strategic and pragmatic: able to see the big picture while identifying the next right move. Collaborative and low-ego partner who builds strong relationships across functions and levels. Comfortable with ambiguity and change, able to help the organization navigate new strategies and ways of working. Ability to effectively manage up, horizontally end external partners to successfully drive projects from initiation to completion. Identifying opportunities to supplement work with AI tools to improve speed and effectiveness of work.
Experience & Qualifications
5+ years of experience in brand strategy, marketing strategy or management consulting, ideally with exposure to retail, apparel, or consumer brands. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Strategy, or related field, or equivalent experience. Demonstrated experience building or stewarding brand positioning, customer segmentation, or experience frameworks and translating them into real-world plans. Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, creative, merchandising, store, or digital teams; proven ability to influence without direct authority.

The starting salary for this position is $87,750 - $117,000. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications. Over time, and subject to performance, tenure, and evolving responsibilities, total compensation for this role may grow to as much as $140,000. Base pay information is based on market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
