About The Business Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) is a greenfield venture of the Tata Group with expertise in manufacturing precision components.

Tata Electronics (a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd.) is building India’s first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry. This facility will produce chips for applications such as power management IC, display drivers, microcontrollers (MCU) and high-performance computing logic, addressing the growing demand in markets such as automotive, computing and data storage, wireless communications and artificial intelligence.

Responsibilities

TCAD

(Technology Computer Aided Design) responsibilities for 40-180nm technologies including

CMOS, HV, BCD and eNVM flows

Add features (active devices, memory elements and passives) to existing technologies and create new technologies that will improve performance and extend application range

Calibrate TCAD decks

to silicon data

Develop

novel device features ; predict performance based on TCAD; suggest DOE’s

(Design of Experiments)

based on TCAD findings

Responsibilities will extend to either Wide Band Gap devices or emerging memories

Build strong customer relationships based on confidence in TEPL technical capabilities

Awareness of competitor benchmarking

Presentation to internal and customer senior executives

Occasional travel

Qualifications

M.S or PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering or equivalent

Strong understanding of

CMOS device physics

including

TCAD models and compact (SPICE) models.

Good understanding of

GaN, RF, eNVM (Floating Gate, MRAM, RRAM) and Silicon Power device physics including TCAD and compact (SPICE) models.

Understanding of RRAM, MRAM and Flash device models

Understanding of CMOS

device failure mechanisms (HCI, NBTI, TDDB, etc) and eNVM failure mechanisms (SILC, Endurance, Retention, Disturbs, etc)

and

acceleration statistics

Proven track record in delivering technologies into volume manufacturing

Understanding of key process modules, process variation constraints and design for manufacturing

Ability to interact seamlessly with Technology Development, Design Enablement and Manufacturing Teams as required

Ability to work across different cultures and geographies

Good team player

Desired Experience Level

15+ years experience in the semiconductor industry

Proven track record of successfully developing new technologies into high volume production

Proven problem solving skills using design of experiments and analytical tools
