
Student Intern, Communications and Marketing

We are seeking a Communications Intern to join the Foundation in its mission of benefitting, supporting, and enhancing the California Community Colleges—the largest and most diverse system of higher education in the nation. The Foundation for California Community Colleges is on a mission to double its impact in the next 10 years. We are a group of relentless optimists and innovators in education, working collaboratively with public and private partners to help improve the student experience and expand pathways to economic and social mobility in communities across California. The Communications Intern is a part-time, paid position that will play a vital role in amplifying our organization's impact by assisting the Communication and Marketing Services Team in crafting compelling narratives, engaging with our social media audience, and collaborating to ensure consistent brand representation. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of communications, marketing, and design within a fast-paced non-profit environment.**Compensation:** This is a paid internship at $20/hour, 10-15 hours per week by providing support with tasks such as invitation **Other Duties**: Provide administrative support and assist- Strong writing and copyediting skills- Experience working with graphic design and photography- Social media communication experience- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deliverables- Excellent computer skills in standard office applications, specifically in MS Word, PowerPoint, and web browsers- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skillsAbility to take projects from inception to completion and work both independently and as part of a team- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills- Team members are hired for their**expertise**overall, and for their knowledge of business, philanthropy, technology, communications, and more in niche areas across our areas of impact and higher education **What we Offer**The Foundation for California Community Colleges is the official nonprofit partner to the California Community Colleges, the largest and most diverse system of higher education in the nation.
