If you do too, join the movement!We’re seeking a social media and video producer who is passionate about the news and looking to tell stories that resonate with audiences in the rapidly-evolving world of digital media.**Position Description*** Create content across all formats, from the written word to images to videos* Post to and manage social media accounts reaching millions of users, from TikTok to Facebook* Pitch, develop and produce original content* Develop multimedia storytelling in collaboration with editors, writers and reporters* Use data to evaluate tactics and suggest improvements to overall strategy* Use social media metrics and tools to identify trending and emerging stories* Keep up to date on the latest trends in social media and share with the larger team* Train staff members on social media best practices, use of social tools and other tactics**Qualifications*** Experience creating social media and/or video content for large brands or news media outlets* Strong writing skills and ability to maintain a consistent brand voice* Good editorial judgement in content selection and adaptation based on the platform* Ability to quickly edit video and photos in high-pressure situations* Knowledge of data and analytics and demonstrated ability to use that data to make decisions* Good communicator who can work collaboratively* Experience using Adobe Suite, including Premier and Photoshop, preferred* Journalism or news background preferred but not required* Experience producing for or directing on-camera talent a plus* Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000This position is in-office in our Chicago or New York locations.
