Why You’ll Love Working Here Founded as a non-profit in 2007, the mission of V3 Sports mission is to elevate our community through wellness, fitness and education. In 2024, V3 Sports opened Phase One of the V3 Center, a 40,000 square foot health and wellness center that will grow to be a North Minneapolis community asset and a regional destination. The focus of Phase One is to provide a place for Northside residents of all ages to access water, state-of-the-art fitness equipment, physical rehabilitation and enjoy healthy and delicious food offerings. Phase Two, which V3 Sports is actively fundraising for, will be a regional destination for sporting events, career fairs, community events, and other drivers of economic stability. At the V3 Center, Northside young people and families will access programming that supports their career and economic aspirations and builds the skills they need to make their dreams reality. As a member of the Leadership Team, this role shapes brand narrative, campaign strategy, public relations, and marketing infrastructure to ensure V3 Sports is recognized as a community wellness anchor—not just a fitness facility. Responsibilities will include the following: Strategic Marketing Leadership Lead the execution of V3 Sports’ marketing strategy and seasonal campaign plans. Translate organizational priorities into integrated campaigns that drive membership and program growth. Partner with Development, Programs, and Membership to align marketing with revenue, engagement, and impact goals. Develop campaign briefs defining objectives, audiences, messaging, timing, and KPIs. Establish and lead quarterly marketing performance reviews. Public Relations & Thought Leadership Own public relations strategy, media positioning, and earned media opportunities. Write and oversee press releases, media pitches, and organizational announcements. Develop monthly thought leadership content aligned to campaign themes. Position V3 Sports leadership as trusted voices in community wellness, aquatics access, and youth development. Manage external agencies and vendors, including website maintenance partners. Define scopes of work, timelines, deliverables, and performance expectations. Oversee agency budgets and ensure alignment with marketing priorities and brand standards. Brand Stewardship & Messaging Alignment Protect and reinforce V3 Sports’ brand voice: bold, proud, energetic, welcoming, and honest. Ensure consistent, asset‑framed storytelling across all channels. Maintain narrative clarity that V3 Sports is a nonprofit community wellness institution. Leadership & Internal Communications Support Leadership Team with clear, values‑aligned internal communications. Translate organizational decisions into consistent, transparent messaging. Ensure internal communications reinforce brand voice and organizational principles. Supervise the Marketing & Content Specialist and contracted marketing partners. Provide campaign direction, performance coaching, and professional development support. Strengthen internal marketing discipline and cross‑functional alignment. Who You Are You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or possess an equivalent combination of skills and professional experience. You bring 7 - 10 years of progressive marketing leadership experience. You can demonstrate experience leading integrated marketing campaigns and brand positioning initiatives. You have experience writing press releases and thought leadership content. You can show experience managing external agencies and cross‑functional teams. Nonprofit sector experience is preferred. You can apply strategic thinking with strong execution discipline. Write clearly and persuasively at a senior level, including PR and thought leadership content. You are skilled at aligning marketing strategies with fundraising and development efforts. You demonstrate a strong understanding of brand positioning and narrative architecture. You can translate complex ideas into clear, accessible messaging. You are versed in asset‑framed, community‑centered communication. You are able and willing to maintain current CPR, First Aid, AED, and BBP certifications. (For new hires, training will be provided during onboarding.) You have a valid driver’s license, access to reliable transportation, and the ability to meet V3 Sports’ driving record requirements.
