Role Overview
Cologix is seeking a strategic, hands‑on Director of Digital Marketing to lead and execute our digital strategy across North America. This role owns digital performance end‑to‑end—strategy, execution, optimization and reporting for data center solutions for enterprises, hyperscalers and service providers.
This is a player‑coach position. With a lean team structure, this leader will both set direction and directly contribute across key channels including website optimization, paid media, search, content, social and blog. This role will manage a demand center operations resource and a marketing specialist that is a shared resource.
The Director will drive measurable pipeline impact, strengthen brand authority and ensure digital marketing functions as a scalable growth engine aligned with revenue objectives.
Core Responsibilities
Digital Strategy and Performance Ownership
Develop and evolve an integrated digital strategy aligned to pipeline and revenue goals
Translate company priorities into clear digital channel plans
Define KPIs across web, paid, organic and AI‑powered search
Deliver executive‑ready performance reporting and insights
Partner with corporate marketing and regional marketing teams to align investments and outcomes
Hands‑On Digital Channel Execution and Optimization
AI‑powered search optimization and AEO implementation
SEO strategy and on‑page optimization
Paid media oversight and optimization (Google Ads, LinkedIn, display, 6sense alignment)
Digital launch coordination
A/B testing and conversion optimization initiatives
Execution may be supported by an agency and internal team members, but this role remains actively involved in build, review, optimization and performance improvement.
Website Strategy and Management
Own website roadmap, UX improvements and conversion optimization strategy
Coordinate with agency partner on enhancements and updates
Lead experimentation initiatives to improve conversion performance
Ensure the website functions as a demand‑generation engine, not just a publishing platform
Partner with content team to ensure website is optimized for customer journeys and conversation
Ensure content on website is updated as needed
Social Leadership and Content
Provide social media strategy and performance; ensure day‑to‑day execution is effective. Manage all social accounts.
Publish social media content in alignment with editorial calendar
Oversee blog platform and content alignment across campaigns, social and blog
Shift focus from volume‑based posting to high‑impact visibility and authority
Guide and elevate the performance of our social accounts
Team and Vendor Leadership
Lead and develop the Marketing Operations Senior Manager and Marketing Specialist
Ensure clear role delineation to maximize efficiency
Manage digital vendors and technology platforms (HubSpot, analytics, advertising platforms, etc.)
Continuously evaluate tools and AI applications that improve scale and impact
Experience and Profile/Qualifications
8+ years of B2B digital marketing experience
Experience in infrastructure, data center, cloud, network or complex technology environments preferred
Demonstrated success balancing strategy with hands‑on execution
Strong expertise in AEO, SEO, SEM, paid social, website optimization and analytics
Experience working with marketing automation and CRM systems
Knowledge of applicable Canada privacy laws, email compliance, SPAM and Quebec regulatory requirements
In depth knowledge of WCAG & AODA compliancy for web design
Data‑driven and commercially focused
Technically curious, especially around AI applications
Strong prioritization skills in resource‑constrained environments
Proven ability to operate effectively in lean team environments
Player‑coach mindset but also a service mentality as relates to the full company
Excellent communication, collaboration and relationship building skills
Strong writing skills for social platforms (short form content)
BA or BS degree or equivalent experience

$100,000 - $110,000 a year

Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience. This position will also be eligible for an annual bonus.
