with
8+ years of experience
designing and delivering enterprise-grade planning solutions. The ideal candidate holds an
Anaplan Architect certification
and has deep domain expertise across
Workforce Planning, Capex Planning, P&L, and Balance Sheet
models. This role blends
hands-on model building
with
technical leadership , including solution architecture, performance optimization, governance, mentoring developers, and partnering with Finance stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable Anaplan solutions. Key Responsibilities Solution Architecture & Delivery
Own end-to-end design and delivery of Anaplan solutions across
Workforce, Capex, P&L, and Balance Sheet planning
domains. Lead
model architecture
decisions: modularization, data hub strategy, spoke models, integration patterns, and model lifecycle management. Translate complex business requirements into
robust Anaplan user stories , model designs, and implementation roadmaps. Drive design reviews, establish best practices, and ensure solutions align to
Anaplan platform standards
and internal governance. Hands-On Model Development (Lead-Level) Build and maintain Anaplan models: modules, lists, hierarchies, line items, versions, time ranges, and calculation logic. Implement advanced modeling techniques:
Dimensionality optimization, formula efficiency, and performance tuning Model refactoring and sparsity reduction UX design: pages, worksheets, forms, actions, and navigation
Create scalable and auditable planning workflows for:
Workforce : headcount, hiring plans, merit/bonus, attrition, benefits, allocations Capex : project-based forecasting, depreciation schedules, funding/approvals, roll-forwards P&L : revenue, COGS, opex (cost centers), allocations, scenario planning Balance Sheet : drivers, working capital, accruals, roll-forwards, cash impacts
Integration, Data & Automation Design and deliver integrations using
Anaplan Connect, CloudWorks, APIs , and ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Boomi, MuleSoft, ADF, SnapLogic-depending on environment). Establish data pipelines with source systems such as
ERP (SAP/Oracle), HRIS (Workday), GL, CRM , and data warehouses. Implement robust data validation, reconciliation, and error handling for financial accuracy and audit readiness. Leadership, Governance & Stakeholder Management Serve as technical lead for Anaplan development team:
code reviews , mentoring, and quality standards. Collaborate cross-functionally with
FP&A, Accounting, HR, IT, and Data teams
to align on planning processes and governance. Own platform governance: model standards, naming conventions, release management, documentation, and security design. Support user adoption: training, enablement, and continuous improvement backlog management. Required Qualifications 8+ years
of hands-on experience delivering Anaplan implementations in enterprise environments. Anaplan Architect Certification
(Solution Architect strongly preferred; equivalent architect-level credential accepted). Proven experience building solutions across:
Workforce Planning Capex Planning P&L Planning Balance Sheet Planning
Strong command of Anaplan modeling best practices:
DISCO , model performance optimization, and scalable architecture. Extensive experience with
UX
design, access control, actions/processes, and workflow enablement. Strong integration experience using
APIs / Anaplan Connect / CloudWorks / ETL . Ability to lead technical discussions, influence stakeholders, and guide decisions through tradeoffs (performance vs flexibility, usability vs complexity). Preferred Qualifications Experience implementing connected planning across Finance + HR + Operations (multi-model ecosystems). Exposure to
ALM , CI/CD practices for Anaplan, and structured release management. Knowledge of financial reporting concepts (GAAP/IFRS helpful), chart of accounts, cost center hierarchies. Experience with adjacent EPM tools or reporting layers (Power BI, Tableau, Adaptive, Hyperion, SAP BPC, etc.). Demonstrated ability to define operating procedures for
model governance , security, and audit readiness. Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$101,970.00 - $203,940.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
