Job Summary
Hive Group is seeking an Acquisition Quality Assurance Specialist to join our existing team providing quality reviews of contract files, identifying best practices, and providing recommendations for standardized operations across the organization. The Acquisition Quality Specialist shall be readily available and able to respond to customer issues, concerns, and comments as well as be proactive in identifying process improvement recommendations. This is a hybrid position requiring candidates to reside in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, with the expectation of working onsite (once per week) at our corporate headquarters in McLean, VA.
Position Description
Conduct organizational audits of contract files to ensure pre- and post-award acquisition quality
Must have attention to detail skills capable of reviewing packages exceeding 100 pages of procurement requirements and contract language
Must be able to work independently with little oversight
Provides value-added input to improve the quality of procurement packages that must pass executive and legal review
Reduce procurement protest risk exposure for client organizations through detail review and analysis of procurement packages
Must be familiar with Federal procurement lifecycle
Make recommendations on spelling, syntax, grammar, voicing, alignment on guidance throughout the package (ensuring no contradictions of guidance or wording)
Review regulatory and policy changes and assess impact to client business practices
Advise government clients on template updates and improvements
Incorporate changes and updates from client policies into reviews
Educate acquisition workforce on how to improve procurement package quality
Must be proficient in Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides, etc.)
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related; May substitute education with equivalent amount of work experience in an audit related role
Minimum of 2 years experience in a direct federal contract support role (Contract Specialist, Acquisition Contract Manager, Procurement Analyst, etc.)
Minimum of 2 years experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
Experience in federal contract auditing is a plus
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Compensation and Benefits The estimated compensation range for this position is between $68,000 and $78,000 annually, based on benchmarks in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. This range reflects a good faith estimate for all experience levels.
