Description
Kentucky Correctional Psychiatric Center is located in LaGrange, Kentucky and performs competency evaluationsfor persons in Kentucky. We are the only forensic hospital in the state, serving all 120 counties. Our teamhas a 37.5 hour work week and includes health insurance, life insurance, paid leave and retirement benefits.We are in search of an Administrative Specialist Senior for our Security Department who possesses the skill,knowledge, and desire to be part of our team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provides high-level professional administrative support to the Kentucky Correctional Psychiatric Center(KCPC) Security Department and supports the efforts of the entire security department in developing,implementing, and maintaining various complicated programs, projects or activities. Recommends solutionsregarding detailed data collection, summarization of data, statistical information, and production of reportsto ensure compliance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Serves as a liaison to Administrative Services and other facility Departments. Interprets and appliesintricate policy and regulations, reviews policies and develops procedural alternatives for evaluation andimprovement. Responsible for coordinating with various departments on complicated scheduling and planning to update andimplement the KCPC patient Master schedule. Responsible for updates to the KCPC patient handbook. Coordinate with hiring managers and supervisors to assist with Contract Correctional officer hiring andonboarding and training. Coordinates and manages the Security staff travel and timesheets and analyzes for adherence to regulationsand funding sources. Provides support and coordinates the performance evaluation process for securitymanagement. Responsible for creation and implementation of detailed system for security inventory. Other duties as assigned. Skills and Expectations include but are not limited to the following:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Customer Service Experience. Strong communication skills; verbal and written. Highly organized. Collaborates well with others. Demonstrates attention to detail. The Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS) participates in E-Verify and will provide the federalgovernment with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in U.S. CHFS will onlyuse E-Verify once you have accepted a job offer and completed the Form I-9.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Three years of professional, administrative, or business experience.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Additional education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE
Working Conditions
Incumbents working in this job title primarily perform duties in an office setting.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
