Commercial Analyst
We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Commercial Analyst. This individual will be responsible for delivering advanced commercial analytics that enable data-driven decisions across pricing, customer engagement, and revenue performance. This role synthesizes CRM, market, and cost data into clear insights that improve commercial effectiveness, margin discipline, and execution. Key Responsibilities: Proactively identify trends in CRM data and recommend systems to evaluate and improve customer engagement of the sales, customer service, and technical service team Prepare and present pricing performance reports to senior leadership, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities. Evaluate the impact of pricing and costing changes on sales volume, revenue, and margin performance. Partner with the Commercial Leadership Team and Commercial Business Partner (IT) to improve dashboards and interfaces for preparing for customer meetings and follow-up Lead special pricing projects, such as customer segmentation studies, bundling strategies, or channel-specific pricing. Strategic Pricing & Market Intelligence: Develop and implement pricing strategies aligned with company objectives, market conditions, and customer needs. Conduct competitive pricing analyses to benchmark against industry peers and identify differentiation opportunities. Monitor price elasticity and customer behavior to inform dynamic pricing and promotional models. Use advanced analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, pricing software) to model pricing scenarios and simulate outcomes. Ensure pricing policies comply with internal controls and external regulations, including antitrust and trade laws. Maintain documentation of pricing decisions and rationale for audit and transparency purposes. Manage and optimize pricing tools and systems, ensuring data accuracy and usability across teams. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Product Development to ensure pricing strategies are integrated across departments. Works with Supply Chain and IT to ensure the accuracy of material costs used for pricing. Works with Commercial Leadership team, Supply Chain, and IT to implement mass price changes. Train and mentor junior pricing analysts or team members involved in pricing operations.
