UST Repo Market Maker

Act as a market maker for UST repo trading activity. Be responsible for pricing and risk hedging with a focus on promoting the excellence in the capabilities offered to both internal/external clients. Responsibilities: Quoting, executing, trading and hedging SFT activity including Repos, Securities Lending and TRS Support SFT desk with position and risk management: liquidity, balance sheet, interest rates, and FX exposures Enhance SFT desk position and risk management tools and processes Cover shorts and lend out long inventory positions in UST and Credit The current SFT offering includes different types of: Collateral: US Treasuries, US Credit, Latam Sovereign, Latam Credit Currencies: USD, EUR, COP, CLP, MXN, etc. Products: Repo, Sec Lending, TRS, Bond Forwards, Margin Loans Work closely with the SFT trading and sales teams in the different geographies Collaborate closely with middle and back office on settlement and operational issues Requirements: Minimum 3 years of work experience in Fixed Income markets, with at least 2 years of experience in SFT/Repo markets Experience with all types of Fixed Income Repos, STIR or Money Market products Knowledge regarding interest rate swaps, cross-currency swaps, FX, FX swaps, NDFs as hedge instruments highly desirable Strong communication skills and strong leadership skills Series 7 and 63 Technical and analytical Strong communication skills Fluent in English, Spanish desirable Programming experience a plus Experience using Bloomberg, Brokertec, GLMX and other trading platforms. With respect to this position in our New York Office, the expected base salary ranges from $150,000 to $170,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus. *Employment eligibility to work with BBVA in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions
