Marketing Operations Specialist, Programs
We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically proficient Marketing Operations Specialist to join our marketing operations team. In this role, you will be the operational backbone of our demand generation and nurture programs by supporting the build, execution, and optimization of campaigns across the Marketo ecosystem. You will work closely with demand generation and customer marketing to ensure programs run flawlessly and data flows cleanly between Marketo and Salesforce. Responsibilities Build, QA, and launch Marketo programs across a variety of types including email, nurture/drip, evergreen, webinars, and live/virtual events Manage program and campaign statuses, progression flows, and member data to ensure accurate tracking and reporting Maintain and optimize audience segments and smart lists to support targeted, relevant communications Develop and manage audience builds for campaigns, ensuring proper inclusion/exclusion logic and compliance with opt-in/consent requirements Support email deliverability best practices including list hygiene, suppression management, and sender reputation monitoring Partner with the demand generation team to translate campaign briefs into operational program builds Monitor program performance and proactively flag issues with targeting, deliverability, or data quality Support A/B testing strategies across emails and programs, including subject lines, content, CTAs, and send cadences and apply learnings to improve performance over time Document program templates, naming conventions, and operational processes to support team scalability Assist with database management including segmentation updates, data normalization, and list imports Required Qualifications 2+ years of hands-on experience in Marketing Operations or a similar role Proficiency in Marketo including program building, smart campaigns, tokens, segmentation, engagement/nurture streams Working knowledge of Salesforce CRM including campaign objects, lead/contact records, and campaign member statuses Strong understanding of email marketing best practices including deliverability, compliance (CAN-SPAM, GDPR), and list management Experience building and managing audience segments and smart lists High attention to detail with a track record of thorough QA before campaign launches Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Experience with UTM tracking, form strategy, and landing page operations Preferred Qualifications Marketo Certified Expert (MCE) or equivalent certification Basic HTML knowledge for email production, troubleshooting rendering issues, and applying personalization tokens Experience with webinar platform integrations (e.g., Goldcast) Basic understanding of lead lifecycle models and marketing/sales funnel stages What Success Looks Like In your first 90 days, you will have a strong command of our marketing programs and templates, be independently launching campaigns with minimal errors, and have identified at least one process improvement opportunity within our program operations.
