About This Role The Vice President of Growth Marketing and Member Experience is a strategic leader responsible for driving member acquisition, engagement, and retention while elevating brand presence in the marketplace. This role operates in full alignment with the organization’s overall strategy, vision, and values.
This position leads the ideation, planning, and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies designed to expand market share, deepen member relationships, and increase product adoption. By leveraging data-driven insights, this leader enhances understanding of members and prospects while optimizing Marketing Return on Investment (MROI).
As a key change agent, the Vice President will guide brand positioning, growth marketing, product marketing, member onboarding, advertising, and public relations. With a strong focus on measurable growth and member experience (MX) outcomes, this role ensures alignment across the organization, partnering closely with product, digital, operations/technology, finance, risk, branches, and contact center teams.
Key Responsibilities Strategic & Operational Leadership
Provide strategic and executional leadership across market research, competitive analysis, and growth opportunity identification.
Lead growth marketing campaign planning, execution, and performance reporting.
Oversee member onboarding and lifecycle marketing strategies to enhance engagement and retention.
Manage, mentor, and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
Growth Marketing & Campaign Execution
Ideate, develop, and execute integrated growth marketing and member experience strategies and campaigns.
Design and manage comprehensive marketing plans, calendars, and budgets in collaboration with cross-functional partners.
Oversee performance marketing across traditional and digital channels with a focus on conversion, retention, and lifetime value.
Data, Analytics & ROI Optimization
Analyze and interpret data to develop campaigns with measurable ROI in partnership with internal stakeholders (e.g., deposits, lending, digital, branches, contact center, and business development).
Leverage segmentation, targeting, and analytics to optimize campaign effectiveness and MROI.
Deliver actionable insights and performance reporting to inform strategic decisions.
Member Experience & Insights
Lead Voice of the Member initiatives, including NPS programs, to identify insights and drive experience improvements.
Partner with cross-functional teams to address member pain points and enhance overall experience.
Drive lifecycle marketing efforts that improve onboarding, engagement, and long-term loyalty.
Brand, PR & Market Positioning
Define and execute a comprehensive brand and public relations strategy to strengthen visibility, reputation, and differentiation.
Direct advertising, community engagement, sponsorships, and events to support growth and brand awareness.
Ensure consistent and compelling messaging across all channels and touchpoints.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with executive leadership and key stakeholders to align marketing strategies with organizational goals.
Collaborate with product, digital, operations, finance, and risk teams to ensure effective and compliant execution.
Leadership & Productivity Management
Drive organizational effectiveness through team structure optimization, process improvement, and adoption of new tools and technologies.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and measurable impact.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of progressive marketing experience, including growth marketing, brand development, and market expansion.
At least 5 years of leadership experience managing teams and driving strategic initiatives.
Financial services or credit union experience strongly preferred.
