
Accounting Director

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Accounting Director to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $175,000 to $190,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor the accounting team by setting priorities coaching staff and managing close activities for monthly quarterly and yearly reporting. Oversee daily operations across the general ledger reconciliations accounts payable accounts receivable and policy documentation while ensuring adherence to accounting standards. Partner with operations financial planning and other groups to provide technical guidance and support decisions related to new initiatives and process changes. Review financial results and key metrics identify trends and variances and deliver clear insights that support planning and forecasting. Drive improvements by standardizing workflows strengthening internal controls and making better use of system capabilities. Requirements:
Hold an active CPA and bring 8+ years of progressive accounting experience that includes leading teams. Demonstrate knowledge of accounting operations close cycles reconciliations and control frameworks. Communicate effectively across functions influence stakeholders and present complex topics with clarity. Operate well in large fast moving or high growth settings with experience from public companies or major firms considered beneficial. Maintain a process focused mindset with strong attention to accuracy scalability and continuous improvement. Qualifications:
Manage staffing plans delegation and review cycles while building a high performing team that can scale with the organization. Provide technical accounting support for transactions system changes and operational projects while partnering closely with leadership. Prepare analyses that support budgeting forecasting operational planning and reporting deliverables for senior leaders. Support acquisition related activities and coordinate with external specialists on valuation and reporting matters. Model strong leadership presence organization skills and hands on execution while maintaining professionalism and collaboration.
