ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF ACCOUNTING /ASSISTANT CONTROLLER

170k-180k+bonus+equity

Publicly traded medical device company is seeking a hands-on Associate Director of Accounting to join their expanding team. This role is ideal for someone with a keen attention to detail and a strong background in accounting and financial operations, particularly within the medical device industry. You will play a key role in overseeing technical accounting processes while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

- Supervise daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.

- Manage month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accurate financial reporting.

- Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with ASC 606 and other relevant accounting standards.

- Conduct cost accounting and oversee stock administration activities.

- Collaborate on the preparation of quarterly and annual reports, including 10Q and 10K filings.

- Provide technical expertise in revenue recognition and related accounting procedures.

- Utilize Sage Intacct software to streamline financial operations and reporting.

- Offer guidance and support to the team in improving accounting workflows.

- Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights for business decisions.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- Proven experience in both public and private accounting, with a focus on the medical device industry.

- Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and other regulatory frameworks.

- Proficiency in Sage Intacct or similar accounting software.

- Solid understanding of cost accounting principles and stock administration.

- Experience preparing 10Q and 10K financial reports.

- Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage multiple priorities effectively
