
Director of Cost Accounting

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Director of Cost Accounting to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $140,000 to $195,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:
Analyze and maintain cost accounting records, ensuring accuracy in standard costing and variance tracking Collaborate with operations and finance teams to improve cost allocation and reporting processes Support ERP system transitions and ensure cost structures are properly integrated and maintained Prepare detailed reports to support financial planning and decision-making Identify inefficiencies in cost tracking and recommend process improvements Requirements:
Minimum of 7+ years of experience in cost accounting, preferably within manufacturing or engineering services A strong understanding of standard costing methods and variance analysis Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data automation techniques Experience working with ERP systems, ideally Oracle Fusion or similar platforms Ability to work independently and adapt to evolving cost structures and reporting needs Qualifications:
Proven ability to implement structured reporting systems and maintain data accuracy Strong analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement Comfortable working in dynamic environments with shifting priorities Detail-oriented and process-driven with excellent organizational skills Experience supporting cost accounting in ERP transitions is a plus
