Senior Counterintelligence (CI) Specialist
DarkStar Intelligence is seeking a Senior Counterintelligence (CI) Specialist with Signature Reduction (SR) expertise to support classified INSCOM operations. This position provides senior-level analytical and operational counterintelligence support focused on Signature Reduction, Placement & Access (P&A), and operational risk mitigation for sensitive activities. The selected candidate will conduct advanced all-source research, identity analysis, and database exploitation to protect operational equities, mitigate exposure risks, and enable secure mission execution in high-threat environments. Key Responsibilities Provide senior-level Signature Reduction (SR) support for classified operations, including identity research, trace analysis, and vulnerability mitigation. Conduct all-source counterintelligence analysis to identify foreign intelligence threats, insider risks, and operational exposure vulnerabilities. Support Placement & Access (P&A) efforts through detailed identity validation, deconfliction research, and records analysis. Develop, update, and maintain databases and associated operational documentation to ensure data integrity and compliance. Produce actionable CI deliverables including risk assessments, targeting support products, vulnerability analyses, investigative summaries, and executive-level briefings. Leverage national-level IC databases, classified reporting systems, communications and financial data, and open-source research to surface relevant linkages and mitigate signature risk. Coordinate with HUMINT, Cyber CI, Technical CI (TCI), and operational elements to ensure alignment, deconfliction, and protection of sensitive equities. Represent the organization in secure working groups and provide subject-matter expertise on CI authorities, oversight requirements, and SR tradecraft. Compensation & Benefits Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000 annually. Final compensation is based on experience, qualifications, internal equity, and market data. Minimum Qualifications Clearance: Active TS/SCI Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 8+ years of counterintelligence or intelligence experience, including support to classified operational environments OR
No degree and 12+ years of relevant intelligence experience Required Experience Demonstrated experience utilizing national-level intelligence databases and CI reporting systems Working knowledge of CI authorities and oversight frameworks, including AR 381-series and DoDI 5240.23 Experience conducting analytical research in support of sensitive or operationally compartmented activities Desired Qualifications Experience supporting INSCOM, Army CI, or Special Access Programs (SAP) Background in HUMINT, Placement & Access (P&A), cover facilitation, or operational support activities Experience working with Signature Reduction databases or identity management systems Experience in Technical CI, cyber-enabled identity research, or digital trace analysis Familiarity with financial exploitation, corporate record research, and global identity vetting methodologies Completion of the Advanced Planners Course (APC) or Advanced Technicians Course (ATC) preferred Regional expertise aligned to priority Areas of Responsibility (AORs)
