CRE Relationship Manager

As a Commercial Real Estate Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for developing and expanding CRE lending relationships nationwide, with an emphasis on the Intermountain West area. Successful candidates will effectively source and manage client relationships with real estate loans of varying size (generally $2-30 million) and complexity. Strong knowledge of real estate lending criteria and existing client network required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and maintain relationships with sponsors, referral sources, and lending partners across the nation. With proficiency in credit fundamentals, determine the appropriate risks in prospective and existing clients and transactions so that all relationships are in strategic alignment with the risk profile of the Bank. Serve as the point person in determining the customer's needs and providing solutions through the seamless delivery of the Bank's products and services. Prepare transaction prescreens with proposed loan terms, discuss pros and cons with management, and prepare term sheet for execution. Coordinate efforts of underwriting and support staff throughout the origination and closing process. Present loan requests to appropriate credit approval authority for consideration. Take responsibility for all aspects of credit quality, profitability, and relationship management for all loans and relationships in assigned portfolio from loan origination to full payoff. Take a proactive approach toward managing expenses to ensure a healthy P&L statement. Keep abreast of the latest financial and banking product knowledge, financial markets, and relevant regulations. Surface issues and provide feedback to appropriate leaders for visibility and resolution. Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree 5+ yrs. experience in commercial real estate lending and analysis Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements: Ability to attract and retain quality sponsors, referral sources, and lending partners. Must have excellent interpersonal communications skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to communicate with all levels of employees, management, committees, and clients. Advanced sales and negotiation skills. Lending experience within major real estate asset classes. Ability to perform in an exciting and transformative environment. Strong analytic abilities and knowledge of financial metrics related to CRE. Demonstrated success structuring complex credits: researching, judging and presenting information verbally and in writing, and creating documentation to support the credit and minimize risk. Ability to quickly assess LTV, DSCR, sponsor acumen, and a potential transaction's seminal credit risks and then identify and articulate appropriate mitigants to said risks. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Proficient in Salesforce and Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook), as well as an aptitude for grasping and using various bank software applications.
