Assists the Director of Safety & Security in the administration of the security ministry at Prestonwood Baptist Church and its entities ("PBC"). Responsibilities include cultivating an atmosphere of PBC safety and security, protecting the reputation and perception of PBC, building positive relationships with staff, members, visitors, and/or students, assisting with training on safety and security processes, procedures, and policies, assisting with compliance of local, state, and federal laws and regulations, assisting in recruiting, training, and overseeing contract security officers, staff, and safety and security volunteers, assisting with the scheduling of PBC security needs, assisting with daily security operations, including access control, visitor management, and campus patrols, providing physical protection for church staff, others, and PBC physical assets, conducting safety assessments and recommending improvements, assisting in the development, implementation, and review of the Emergency Operations Plan, assisting in leading drills (fire, lockdown, evacuation, severe weather), maintaining relationships with local law enforcement agencies and school districts, reporting incidents, accidents, and safety issues in accordance with approved methods and the appropriate standard of confidentiality, assisting in overseeing security systems and surveillance camera systems, assisting as assigned with PBC entities' safety and security, and other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Requirements include a growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as an active member of PBC, a bachelor's degree or relative experience in a field related to this position, prior law enforcement experience at the local, state or federal level preferred, strong familiarity with Texas Education Agency's standard security protocols and security best practices, strong firearms proficiency, prior active shooter and standard response protocols training, familiarity with camera and intrusion alarm systems preferred, OSHA knowledge and risk management experience helpful, ability to maintain an attitude of gratitude and encouragement, have an openness to share the Gospel, ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, both written and oral, ability to assess risks, respond quickly, and make sound decisions under pressure, intermediate computer skills using Microsoft Office programs, and ability to work varying schedules including evenings and weekends as assigned, ability to regularly walk significant distances and use body parts for sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, hearing, reaching, seeing, while in and outdoors and lifting up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
