Overview
Razorfish is looking for a manager to join its Data Science and Analytics practice. This is an analytics, research, and consulting team that delivers data-driven insights to our clients. Each member of the team is aligned to one or more clients and works closely with other Data Science team members, our clients, and colleagues across other disciplines such as: Client Management, Strategy, Media, User Experience, and Technology.
In this role you will contribute to data-driven projects across one or more client accounts. You will have support from data leadership and fellow analysts.
Core areas of focus for this group include applications in measurement planning and strategy, customer segmentations, testing frameworks, measurement and optimization solutions, performance reporting and analyses, personalization, and forecasting.
Responsibilities
Role Summary
Act as the paid media analytics subject matter expert, providing strategic input and in-depth analysis of platform performance
Understand paid media and how it interacts in a full-funnel marketing mix
Demonstrate marketing business acumen and how our data services fit into client strategies and objectives
Collaborate cross-functionally with media planners, strategists, and activation teams to align goals, manage timelines, and ensure data accuracy across deliverables
Lead client readouts, define requirements and implementation of data tools and products
SKILLS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Strategy
Identify key issues and objectives to focus on for internal and client needs with minimal oversight
Apply holistic strategic thinking to elevate either a client's: 1) marketing goals or 2) data sophistication and maturity forward. For example, a manager will show initiative in understanding strategic frameworks and how to apply them to client-specific needs
Analytics
Execute steps involved in learning agendas / measurement plans
Solve issues with measurement plan implementation when needed
Execute frequent ad hoc and recurring data pulls to support ongoing business needs, creative testing, and campaign optimization
Deliver robust cross-channel reporting and insights across TV, digital streaming, audio, paid social, paid search, and paid display
Design and analyze results of attitudinal studies to measure brand lift across key campaigns
Synthesize implications ("so whats?") from analysis and refine approach
Use insight work across disciplines to generate and develop actionable recommendations to the client
Communication
Provide thoughtful contributions to internal and client discussions, having synthesized input and feedback
Independently prepare internal and client presentations and necessary outlines
Deliver materials with confidence, and comfortable with supplying appropriate responses to questions that are vague or not directly related to what was presented
Show confidence in meetings offering ideas and suggestions, reflecting mastery of tasks and work
Comfortable with occasionally leading team discussions and present alternative solutions when needed
Create client documents from scratch with minimal oversight
Use best practices in formatting within presentation tools (PPT, Google Slides, etc.)
Transform data into visually appealing presentations with an emphasis on storytelling, adapting formats and charts as necessary
Client Engagement
Function as day-to-day internal data resource while becoming the client go-to resource
Lead the client through multiple programs / projects from start to finish
Document and respond to client feedback and recognize when to escalate issues
Demonstrate deep knowledge of client’s business – financials, industry economics, competitive dynamics, marketing channels, and client strategic issues
Tools & Techniques
Exhibit advanced proficiency with multiple data tools, platforms, and techniques
Assist in all aspects of vendor assessments
QA and maintain data integrity at collection, extraction, and activation point
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in analytics, data science, or a related field, preferably supporting paid media or marketing programs
Strong understanding of paid media analytics
Proficiency in Excel, Tableau, and/or Power Bi
Experience with Adobe Analytics
Experience with SQL and Snowflake

Compensation Range: $93,000 - $120,000. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
