Media & Strategy Associate: Narrative Architect for Founders

About the Role Capital V is hiring media-driven Associates to help lead earned comms for a portfolio of high-growth clients. You’ll shape narratives, pitch top-tier outlets, and serve as a trusted partner to founders and operators. Ideal candidates bring a sharp news sense, strong writing, and 3+ years of Public Relations or Journalism experience. What You’ll Own You’ll work directly with founders and operators, bringing a strong sense of what’s timely, relevant, and worth telling. Media Relations : Pitch and secure coverage across top-tier outlets including Bloomberg, WSJ, TechCrunch, Axios, and others Narrative Development : Translate founder POVs, company milestones, and market insights into clear, compelling storylines that resonate with media and target audiences Press Materials : Draft, edit, and refine press releases, backgrounders, messaging documents, and briefing materials with strong editorial judgment Reporter Relationships : Cultivate a growing network of media contacts, developing thoughtful, long-term relationships with reporters and editors Client Strategy : Support and help execute media and visibility strategies around key moments including fundraises, launches, partnerships, and announcements Special Projects : Develop op-eds, investor materials, and rapid-response press in high-stakes, time-sensitive situations Who Thrives Here 2+ years in financial/tech PR or journalism (agency experience ideal), with a portfolio of earned media wins Skilled writer and communicator with sound editorial judgment Self-starter with an eye for what’s newsworthy and timely Excited to grow fast, take ownership, and learn at the founder level Why Join Capital V?
