We’re looking for a sales-driven Business Development Representative who thrives on hunting new business while providing high-touch support to our Loan Officers. This isn’t a traditional admin role — it’s a hybrid sales + loan support position built for someone who loves winning deals, building relationships, and closing business in the mortgage space.
Role Summary:
You will proactively generate and qualify mortgage leads, set appointments for our Loan Officers, and deliver white-glove assistance throughout the loan process. Your primary focus is revenue growth through new client acquisition and referral partner development, backed by hands‑on loan coordination that keeps deals moving smoothly to closing.
Key Responsibilities
Drive New Business — Conduct daily outbound prospecting (calls, emails, LinkedIn, text) to real estate agents, builders, past clients, and homeowners in our markets
Lead Qualification & Conversion — Quickly qualify prospects for purchase, refinance, construction, or specialty programs and convert them into scheduled appointments with Loan Officers
Referral Partner Development — Build and nurture strong relationships with realtors, home builders, financial advisors, and other centers of influence to become their go-to mortgage partner
Pipeline Support — Work directly with Loan Officers to gather documentation, run pre‑approvals, follow up with clients, clear conditions, and push files to closing
CRM Mastery — Own your pipeline in our CRM — track every lead, activity, and opportunity with accuracy and urgency
Client Experience — Deliver the “Lender that Cares” promise through proactive communication, problem‑solving, and exceptional service from first contact through closing
Sales Targets — Consistently hit monthly lead, appointment, and funded‑loan goals (with uncapped earning potential tied to production)
What We’re Looking For:
1–3+ years of proven sales experience (mortgage, real estate, banking, or high‑volume B2B sales preferred)
Natural “hunter” mindset — you love picking up the phone and turning “no” into “yes”
Strong written and verbal communication skills; persuasive yet consultative
Detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple files and deadlines
Experience with CRM systems and basic mortgage terminology is a big plus
High school diploma required; college degree or mortgage licensing a plus
Must be able to pass background check and be willing to obtain NMLS registration if needed
